Yowza...

It's been a LONG time, no?

Christmas was wild this year: driving here and there, endless amounts of gifts being opened, many drinks being had and hosting Christmas Eve yet again for me, mark, bella, my mom and dad, my sil/bil/niece/nephew, mil/fil, and my brother/sil/nephew.

Here's what we had:

Crudite with dip
Gougeres
Affinois and crackers

Prime Rib
Au Jus
Noodle Kugel (1 # egg noodles, cooked; 3 oz melted butter, 1 cup sour cream, 1# cottage cheese, 2 eggs, beaten. mix all together, put in a greased baking dish, and dot with butter. cook 1 hour at 375F til browned on top. so good!!!)
Salad with goat cheese and roasted beets
Rolls
Red wine/beer/sparkling water

Tiramisu cake
Fruit Tart
Coffee

Ho Ho Ho!

So I had grand intentions of driving out to Half Moon Bay today with the family to cut down a gorgeous Christmas tree, really I did.

But then I got to thinking about the environment and all that crap.

So we bought a fake-o one instead. We even went to Kmart to get it. Ick. But we came home with one of these.

And the best part? It has a rotating base! It moves around! In a circle! So you can see all the sides!

The second best part? I think they mis-charged me! $99.99 and the label in the store said $179.99! Maybe I was involved in a super secret 40% off sale? Who knows? Who cares! This baby will pay for itself in two years.

What a day. Now we just need to find our Christmas decorations.
