Another Finished Object and a Quiet Night at Home...

Over the summer I was working on a pink cami for myself. Well, today, bored with work on my LAST xmas gift, I decided to finish it. This involved ripping out one side that I seamed together like a moron, making two straps and sewing them in place. It came out pretty well:

and with a little detail:

It looks pretty good (even downright sexy). I am going to wear it under a black cashmere cardigan I have. Oh la la!

We only have ONE present left to get for Christmas and I think I am going to wait until Monday. This is what my Saturday night has consisted of:

Sitting in front of the fire with a glass of red wine, knitting and writing Christmas Cards. Ahhhhhh Bliss! Enjoy the rest of your weekend...

2 Down, 1 To go...

If you are a member of my immediate family - no peeking at the links in the next paragraph please - SERIOUSLY - you'll just ruin it for yourself, you stinkers!

On the knitting front, I finished TWO of THREE Xmas gifts: the grey one and the red one. I have one more gift left to finish (the cream colored one) and I am about 40% done with it. Now I'll just be sitting on my recliner (well, every spare minute that Mark hasn't called 'dibs!') and crank through it before Christmas. When that's done I have some socks to make (for me), the ribby cardie (for me) and a hat or two (ahem, for me). And I have uninterrupted knitting time on the drive down south to mom and dad's for New Year's. I've never really knitted in the car though, better make sure I don't throw up! Ewww.

The best part of my week is that tomorrow at about 3:15 pm I can say, "I'm outta here until January 5th"! I have lots planned, including some new stuff to sell on my other site (I just need a few more things before it goes live). No rest for the wicked I guess, but it's the kind of stuff I thrive on.

The top half of our hutch comes on Saturday, so I'll be spending part of the afternoon organizing it with our linens, dishes, and Riedel glasses.

One last note, did anyone notice the similarity between the captured Sadaam

and Tony Shalhoub in the movie Life or Something Like It?

Uncanny!

With that, I am off to make dinner! Until next time....
