Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing...
I hope everyone had a GREAT Thanksgiving! We stuffed ourselves silly at Mark's Dad's house in San Francisco...Not as good as mom's but still a feast! Here's a photo of my contribution (pumpkin AND pecan pie - yum!):
I made a small pilgrimage to my LYS the day after Thanksgiving for some minor (!) additions to my stash, and about $96 later I walked away with the following:
What a haul! There's some Lorna's Laces sock yarn (+ a pattern for adult socks), a set of #8 Bamboo circulars, #8 bamboo dpns, #2 bamboo dpns, Knitaly worsted wool + Crystal Palace Fizz (for a fuzzy bucket-o-chic for me), and two hanks of Manos de Uraguay (not sure what for but I couldn't resist). This should keep me busy over the Christmas break!
uh, and from a different store in Los Altos last week:
No idea what I'll be making with the Rowan - it was an odd ball that the store got in (they only got one) and it was only $9! I couldn't just leave it there. I'll probably make a hat or something. The pink and black is for a bag I am going to make from the Hollywood Knits book. It's the bag with the knitting needle handles.
I was spoiled last week. I had the WHOLE week off with Mark and it was great! So I just need to make it through the next three weeks until Christmas vacation - I think I can do it. As for the knitted gifts, I am about 50% through the grey one, 25% through the cream, and 80% through the red one. I can't wait until 12/26 when I can show you the finished objects!
