So we just got a new dell - woohoo! It rocks. We also got an 18" monitor - which I HIGHLY recommend. It takes up very little space and is soooo crystal clear. Holy she-nay-nay, it's gonna be hard looking at my old crankypants laptop.
I enjoyed myself tremendously today. First we had a leisurely morning, drinking coffee, and I taught myself how to cable. Sheesh it takes a while, but once you get the hang of it, it actually goes by pretty fast. Then, just as I was getting dressed, our new computer arrived. I left Mark to geek out and install it and connect it to our home network and went to my LYS. Yeah! I also hit Peets, the local card store, and a local pet store. I got some great yarn for some gifts for babies that arriving soon as well as some sassy pima cotton for a tank top for me.
Since I have the new machine, I will actually be posting more and linking to actual photos. Don't hold your breath. I guess I just need to make them REALLY worthwhile when I do, now wont I?
On a side note, did you know that this month is National BBQ Month and National Hamburger Month? Who the hell comes up with these freaky holidays? Actually, I have always wanted to attend Memphis in May World Champion BBQ Contest, what looks like an out of this world BBQ competition. Ah Well, since it's May now, it's not likely, but I can always dream of next year.
Frivolous Purchase of the month: I was in San Diego in April for business and I stopped in the Sanrio store. What possesses me to buy Hello Kitty stuff? God only knows. All I know is that I walked out of the store with these, this, Badtz Maru air fresheners, a My Melody chopstick case, and a Hello Kitty Handle Bag. No, I am not a 6 year old japanese girl. This 33 year old just couldn't resist. I kept telling myself that I was buying the stuff for all the little girls I know - my nieces Julia and Natalie, and Andrea. Yeah, sure, they'll get this stuff - NOT! I can't give it up. It's too cute!
Ok, back to geeking out with my machine. With the new machine and my knitting hobby, my ass is sure to spread a lot more over the next month. Gotta keep doing that pilates!
