Here's a little story:
Once upon a time there was a woman who was to have her one-year review at work. This fine woman worked and worked and worked and finally created her self-review (5 pages) and a spankin' new job description.

She arrives at work, knowing that in a few short hours, she will have an answer: raise, no raise, new title (something). Imagine her surprise when said meeting is postponed until 1 pm. "Take my paperwork now," she says sweetly, "and we'll talk later."

SO WHAT HAPPENS?

At 1 pm, sweet lady walks into dumb-ass (note: foreshadowing) bosses office. "I didn't realize we were actually going over your REVIEW today", he says feigning shock, "I haven't prepared anything for your review", I am sure expecting the sweet lady to toss her head back gregariously and say something like, "isn't that refreshing - you forgot! Hee hee!" Sweet lady not so sweet anymore. Sweet lady loses brownie points due to her sharp tongue. Review is rescheduled for next week. Hating place more and more, working on business plan more and more in head. Fantasizing about sticking it (and not in a good way) to boss.

Moral of story: Bosses suck. End of story.
